Free n8n workflow
New businesses in your territory. One Google Sheet.
Import official New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut business registrations from Apify. Filter your territory and formation dates, then update your Sheet using a stable business ID.
The workflow is free. Demo mode uses fictional records and makes no external calls. Live mode uses your own accounts and incurs Apify charges. Your n8n plan may have separate costs.
For teams that already work in Sheets
For accountants, insurance agencies, commercial banking teams, and data-service operators researching newly formed businesses. This template prepares a research list. It does not enrich guessed contact details or send outreach.
- 01
Choose your territory
Select New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or a combination. Set a formation-date window, county, or city. Email and industry filters depend on Connecticut coverage.
- 02
Get official-source records
Your Apify account runs the existing US New Business Leads Feed. The workflow flattens the output, keeps source attribution, and prepares text-safe Sheet cells.
- 03
Keep one row per business
The Google Sheets step matches leadId. Repeated records update the matching row instead of being appended again. Run one execution at a time against a dedicated tab.
Start with the free demo
- Download the JSON above. In n8n, create a workflow and choose Import from File from the workflow menu.
- Leave the configuration in
demomode. Keep the workflow inactive and the Apify and Google Sheets nodes disabled. No credential is required for the fictional-data path. - Run the manual trigger and inspect the demo output. The fictional records show the column format without creating a Sheet or starting a paid Actor run.
Connect your own accounts for live data
- Create a dedicated Google Sheets tab. Import the header-only CSV into its first row. Do not rename or remove
leadId. - Add your Apify token through n8n's credential manager, not inside the workflow JSON. Add a Google Sheets credential and select your destination document and tab.
- Set the states, dates, and filters in the configuration node. Start with a small result limit. Read the complete node-by-node setup guide before changing to live mode.
- Review the Actor's current price. After selecting both credentials and the destination Sheet, enable the Apify and Google Sheets nodes, change to live mode, and run manually. Check the output, the Sheet, and your Apify run before running again.
Live runs are paid, even when the Sheet already has those records
Sheet deduplication happens after the Actor runs. It prevents repeated rows, not repeated Apify charges. An Apify run can also incur charges if a later Sheet write fails. Do not blindly retry a timed-out run.
What the data does and does not contain
- New York and Connecticut business-registration sources refresh daily. Pennsylvania refreshes monthly, so a recent-date query can return no Pennsylvania records.
- Published business email and NAICS industry filtering are Connecticut features. Requiring an email excludes New York and Pennsylvania results.
- Missing fields remain blank. A filing contact or service-of-process recipient is not automatically a decision-maker or registered agent.
- Use the source attribution and your own review before relying on a record. Public availability is not consent to contact a person.
Cost and operating limits
The combined Actor is listed at $0.003 per delivered record, or $3 per 1,000. Check its live listing before use. The template limits each run to at most 100 records and a maximum Actor charge setting of $0.30. These are per-run controls, not a daily or account budget.
The template uses a manual trigger, not a schedule. Run executions sequentially. The Sheet matching step is not a transactional database constraint and cannot safely coordinate simultaneous writers or repair duplicate rows already in your Sheet.
Check the Actor and current pricing on Apify →Published by JS Technology Solutions. This is an independent template, not an n8n, Google, Apify, or state-government endorsement. No community-node installation is required.
Verified on August 31, 2026: import and fictional-data execution in n8n 2.36.8, plus 18 offline safety-test groups. The authenticated Apify-to-Sheets branch was not executed in this release check.
