New Business Leads: Fresh LLC Filings in NY, PA & CT
We combine the New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut public business registries into one prospecting feed that discovers newly formed companies without you knowing their names first. One record is one unique business, identified by its state and state-issued registry id, carrying the formation date, entity type, county and whatever the originating state actually publishes: Connecticut business email, NAICS code and annual-report due date, Pennsylvania organizers and officers grouped into a single record, New York filing and service-of-process evidence, and genuine registered agents where a source explicitly names one. An unavailable field stays null instead of being guessed.

Email addresses are partially hidden in these examples. A run returns the published source values.
One record per state, normalized by the actor's own normalizeNyLead, normalizePaLeads and normalizeCtLead functions from real rows in its committed test fixtures, fetched from the three official portals on 2026-08-23 and shown with a common retrieval timestamp. Natural-person names and an individual statutory agent's personal email address are withheld on this page; organization names are kept. The empty New York and Pennsylvania email and industry cells are what those sources actually publish, not a gap in this sample.
Fields
The most used fields in each record. The Apify listing documents the full output schema.
- leadId
- Stable state-prefixed public-registry identifier, such as CT:001EXAMPLE
- state
- Official registration state: NY, PA or CT
- businessName
- Legal entity name exactly as published by the state registry
- entityType
- State-published LLC, corporation, partnership or other registration classification
- formationDate
- Public filing, registration or creation date, ISO 8601
- formationAgeDays
- Computed: whole UTC days between the source formation date and the retrieval date
- county
- NY or PA source-published county, or a CT county derived from the official town crosswalk
- businessEmail
- Business email published by the Connecticut registry. NY and PA do not publish this field in these datasets
- industryCode
- Connecticut-published NAICS code, with the registry's own description alongside it
- decisionMakers
- Pennsylvania organizers, incorporators and officers grouped into the one business record, or Connecticut principals joined from the official Principals dataset
- registeredAgents
- Actual registered or statutory agents, from Connecticut's Agents dataset or New York's monthly Active Corporations roster. Never inferred from a service-of-process entry
- serviceOfProcess
- New York's separately labeled service-of-process recipient. This does not establish registered-agent status
- annualReportDueDate
- Connecticut's published next annual-report due date, when the registry supplies one
- leadSignals
- Transparent evidence tags such as formed_within_7_days, registry_published_business_email and verified_registered_agent
- sourceUpdatedAt
- The portal's own reported update timestamp for the dataset this record came from, alongside sourceRefreshCadence
How it works
1
Run it on Apify
Open the listing, sign in to Apify, and press Start. The actor reads the public source directly, normalizes each record, and writes the results to your Apify dataset. You can also schedule it to run on a cadence.
2
Filter to what you need
- •states: which registries to query, default ["NY", "PA", "CT"]
- •formedFrom: inclusive start date. The default is seven days ago for NY and CT; PA uses its latest publishable monthly window unless you set this explicitly
- •formedTo: inclusive end date. Setting only an end date removes the default lower bound
- •county: exact county name, case-insensitive. CT counties are derived through the official town crosswalk; NY and PA counties are source-published
- •city: case-insensitive city or town match. NY matches the filing's service-of-process city and labels that provenance
- •businessNameContains: optional case-insensitive substring. Leave it blank to discover companies you do not already know
- •industryCodePrefix: two to six NAICS digits. NY and PA do not publish NAICS here, so this filter limits results to CT
- •requireBusinessEmail: return only businesses whose registry publishes a business email, which limits results to CT
- •includeDecisionMakers: group PA officer rows and join CT principals, default true
- •includeRegisteredAgents: join CT statutory agents and the NY Active Corporations roster, default true
- •maxResults: one hard global cap across every selected state, 1 to 10,000, default 100
- •includeRaw: attach the untouched source rows, default false

Export or connect
Download the dataset as CSV, JSON, or Excel from the Apify console, or pull it straight into your own system through the Apify API and integrations.
A default run with no input returns up to 100 leads across all three states, balanced between them and then sorted by formation date and the transparent evidence score. maxResults is one global hard cap up to 10,000, not a per-state allowance, and one dataset item is one unique business, so duplicate New York filing rows and duplicate Pennsylvania officer rows are removed before anything is delivered and charged. Requests go straight to the official open-data APIs with no login, proxy or app token, sequentially, honoring each host's published one-second crawl delay. The actor refuses to deliver results if it cannot read a pay-per-event allowance, and stops cleanly at the run's remaining charge limit. The local suite is 69 passing tests against deterministic official-source fixtures with the government APIs mocked; the latest cloud build is 0.0.3, built 2026-08-25. No buyer-initiated production run has been observed yet, so no platform timing figure is quoted here.

Source, refresh, and licence
- Source
- New York State Department of State, Pennsylvania Department of State and Connecticut Secretary of the State: Daily Corporation and Other Entity Filing Data (New York), the primary feed of six official state open-data registry datasets
- Size
- New York's daily filing feed held 92,743 rows on 2026-08-23 (a rolling window of roughly 30 days, not a cumulative archive); Pennsylvania's Registered Businesses Current by County held 4,074,720 rows, one row per business x officer; Connecticut's Business Master held 1,293,406 business entities. All three counted 2026-08-23. The three numbers are not directly comparable, because only the New York figure is a rolling window.
- Refresh
- New York's Daily Corporation and Other Entity Filing Data and Connecticut's Business Master both report a daily cadence; Pennsylvania's Registered Businesses Current by County reports a monthly cadence, so Pennsylvania defaults to a wider formation window than the seven-day default used for New York and Connecticut. New York's separate Active Corporations roster, which is the only New York source of an actual registered agent, reports a monthly cadence of its own. Every delivered record carries the portal's own reported update timestamp and the cadence that source publishes.
- Licence
- The two New York datasets declare no licence in their portal metadata, so the Open NY portal terms govern your use case. Pennsylvania's dataset carries the portal's own label "Public Domain U.S. Government"; that is the portal's metadata choice for a state dataset and is not an independent legal determination. Connecticut's Business Master declares "Public Domain"; its Principals and Agents companion datasets state no licence of their own.
- Attribution
- New York State Department of State; Pennsylvania Department of State; Connecticut Secretary of the State
Questions buyers ask
How do I find newly formed businesses in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut at once?
Run with no input. The default returns up to 100 leads globally, balanced across New York and Connecticut's latest seven days and Pennsylvania's latest available monthly release. Raise maxResults or set formedFrom to widen the window.
Does every new business record include an email address?
No. Connecticut publishes a business email on many registrations and it is delivered unchanged. New York and Pennsylvania do not publish business email in these datasets, so those records leave the field empty rather than guessing. Set requireBusinessEmail to true and the run limits itself to Connecticut and says so.
Is the New York service-of-process contact a registered agent?
No, and it is never presented as one. New York's daily filing feed publishes a service-of-process recipient, which is a separate labeled field. An actual New York registered agent comes only from the separate Active Corporations roster, whose published cadence is monthly, and Connecticut agents come from the state's explicit statutory-agent dataset.
Am I charged separately for each officer on a business?
No. One dataset item is one unique business, keyed on its state and state-issued registry id. All of a Pennsylvania business's officers are grouped inside that single record, duplicate source rows are removed before delivery, and maxResults is one global cap rather than a per-state allowance.
