Privacy Policy

JS Technology Solutions, Inc. ("JS Tech", "we") is an Illinois corporation at 3043 W. North Shore Ave., Chicago, IL 60645. This policy covers this website and the work we do for clients.

What we collect on this website

  • Forms. When you use a contact, assessment, newsletter or feedback form, we receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, company and message. Submissions reach us by email through our email provider, Resend. We do not keep them in a separate database.
  • Analytics and logs. Our host, Vercel, counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. Vercel also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and secure the site.
  • Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers.
  • Datasets. Our public-record datasets run on Apify. Accounts, purchases and billing for them are handled by Apify under its own privacy policy.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

How we use it

We use this information to answer you, provide services you ask for, send a newsletter you subscribed to, and keep the site running and secure. To unsubscribe, or to ask us to delete your information, email jserle@jstech-inc.com.

Client data and student data

When we work for a client, we use the client's data only to deliver the services in our agreement, under the client's direction.

For schools and school districts:

  • Our personnel work inside the district's own systems, with accounts the district issues and controls. We do not copy, store or transfer student data outside those systems.
  • We do not sell student data, use it for advertising or marketing, or build profiles of students. We use it only for the services the district contracted.
  • We follow the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Illinois Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) and the data terms of each district agreement, including any Student Data Exhibit.
  • We do not disclose student data to any third party except as the district directs or the law requires.
  • If we learn of unauthorized access to student data, we notify the district as its agreement and the law require.

Children

This website is for businesses and public agencies and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.

Security and retention

We limit access to the people who need it, use the security controls our clients and service providers offer, and keep information only as long as the purposes above, a client agreement or the law require.
